  • Foreclosures Thrive in Third Quarter
    With home price appreciation slowing and the inventory of unsold homes expanding, the third quarter proved to be fertile ground for sprouting foreclosures, according to RealtyTrac’s quarterly foreclosure market report .     And for the second month in a row, the number of bank repossessions, or REOs, was up more than 100 percent year over year.
