Local Market Perspective: Seattle, Wash.
Over the past three months, my clients and I have presented nine contracts to pre-foreclosure, REO and short sale sellers. In the Northern Seattle area there currently very few REO properties, and in terms of real short sales, I have seen under 10 that are decent over the past month. Because of the lack of “urban sprawl” in Seattle we do not have the inventory of foreclosure homes that the rest of the country has. Out of those nine contracts, nine have been beat by better offers.
