  • Foreclosures Inch Higher in May
RealtyTrac just released state and national foreclosure statistics for the month of May . • When Foreclosure Is Not Politically Correct
Located in the upscale Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento, the property has gone through the foreclosure auction process and reportedly been purchased by Red Rock Mortgage for $388,000, a far cry from the $535,000 Richardson paid for it back in January 2007. • 40 Is the New 30 for Lenders and Investors
Tauting the lower monthly payments the new product offers will appeal to first-time buyers, consumers in high-cost markets, real estate investors and buyers on a fixed income, the companys press release also warns that equity will build up more slowly as a result of the lower payments and a lot more total interest will be paid over the extra 10 years. Whether 40-year fixed-rate mortgages will help distressed homeowners who cant afford their monthly mortgage payment keep their property out of foreclosure -- its too early to tell.
